Maybe it's me but it seems that I've been wearing my heavy jacket for far too many months! I thought that winters were supposed to be getting milder -- some green house effect, right? All I know is that the wind, rain, and bitter cold of winter has now crept into my Spring and I'm not happy about it! I am ready for the beach!
Last weekend I went to an evening crop at my friend Shannon's house and it was a lot of fun! While I LOVE scrapping in my craft room at home, nothing can get my mojo flowing like a gathering of social scrappers! I actually finished 3 layouts that night -- a record for me (since I can spend hours on one layout sometimes!)
One of my favorite layouts from that crop was BEACH BUMS. One of my favorite things about living in a coastal town is that the beach is minutes away. My kids and I brought our camera along to one of our beach outings! The photos in my layout are from a few years ago. It was a beautiful June day (school was out) and we decided to pack a picnic breakfast of bagels and juice and eat at the beach. It was nice and quiet (although the beach is never really too crowded here -- especially on a week day!) and it was a perfect day for bumming around the beach.
After I finished the layout all I could think about was going to the beach again. While the weather is getting a little warmer (50s this week!) it's not quite beach weather yet.
Soon I hope, real soon!
